I was able to find a value in one of the writeups and it turned out to be the same value as the one used in the distributor of a 50s Chevy six. I believe they are .5 MFd. I did this on my 51 1 Ton and it made a big difference. The noise problem is more noticeable when you have a weak station signal.
I think the static ground devices for the front bearings caps were relevant with the old style tires. I doubt they would have any effect with modern tires. | | |
