I used a motor from Advance Auto. It was a universal 12volt and had the two lugs on front to mount like orig did, same size shaft too. Think I had to oval mount holes some, used old fan blade after finally getting out the old set-screw and it can be hooked up to turn either way, depending on what wire power goes to.
Might want to check your heater box for mouse nestings, Most old trucks I've dragged home have 10lbs of mouse nest in them and stink like Pee real bad. Even wasps make mud nests in them and freeze everything up. A little oil on shaft bearings, spin it to free up and away you go! I've used 12 volt on 6 motor to get it started after it wouldn't move on 6. Once it "broke in" on 12, it worked again on 6.
