If the purpose is to protect the paint etc. from bruises, I took two U-Hall blankets, cut them in half and had my wife to sew into two corners of each a 1.25" earth magnet. That way I can lay the blankets, one over each fender, and the magnets will hold them in place. I should add that this only works when the truck is not outside in the weather.
