For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 22 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 22 | I have a '46 Chevy Panel that is going through a ground up resto/mod. There is no bed.
One of us wants to put a sheet metal floor in first, sound proof it with Dyno Mat and then sandwich wood strips over that.
I say go with wood floor only, and paint bottom with sound deadening paint or rhino shield it.
Is there a problem/advantage with doing either or something else we should really consider? What is wrong with putting a wood floor over a sheet metal one? | | |
