Gasoline comes in different formulations in different geographic locations and at different times of the year.
Some of the formulations are less stable than others. It is prudent to use something like Sta-Bil if the gas is not going to be used in two or more months.
Run the engine for at least 10-15 minutes after you have added the Sta-Bil.
