Use the large(long) screwdriver as a stethescope.You can us a long stick as well.Put the end of the "stethescope" at the rear bearing area and the front area as close as you can to determine the noise.Pot your thumb over the end of the stick and your ear against your thumb.Check other areas to compare noise /sound differences.
There is enough good in the worst of us and enough bad in the best of us that it does not behoove any of us to criticize the rest of us.
