The sad news is that those carbs and air cleaners are now riding my parts shelf in favor of a better mannered set of Langdon's Carter/Weber carbs and his matching polished aluminum air cleaners. I think a little less power than the Rochesters but idle and starting are light years ahead of the old style carbs.

The downside of both setups as you see is the loss of the cab to inner fender braces. I think I will put them back on with some fit modifications. I have never seen that they appear to threaten any trouble but just want them back on.
