I was reading somewhere on this forum that the wood was 1" (3/4")? I'm wondering if the original board would not have been 7/8" thickness at that time? I can remember 2 x 4s being 1 3/4" x 3 3/4", then they went down to 1 5/8" by 3 5/8" to the present 1 1/2 x 3 1/2". I'm thinking back at the time these trucks were new the 1" boards would have been 7/8" thick. John
