I can't answer that it would seem possible in the later years that a turbo could have been used. I am still stuck on the fact that I have a 1955 truck with a later engine that came with hydraulic lifters, when I got the truck it would barely run and after major tune up still had dead miss on number 4 cylinder. I got it hot per instructions and removed valve cover to adjust valves and number four intake rocker was off the valve so I adjusted it for solid lifters and it runs like new now, so do I readjust for hydraulics or how can I verify lifter type?
