I have an old Delco Remy parts book. According to that, a 52 Chevy truck ( neg ground ) uses a Delco D 601 regulator. A GMC of the same year ( positive ground ) uses a D 603..

I am not sure if there is a Delco part number on your regulator. If there is a number other than these two, post it here and I will try to cross it in the Delco Book..
