I just have to put it out there... the cost to rebuild a 270 or 302 is the same as rebuilding a 228. The 270 and 302 can be made to bolt where a 228 was.
OK, sometimes pistons and cams can be found on ebay. I know I have a couple spare NOS 302 military cams on my shelf which came through ebay.
