The theory is that when panels were sold out of production for that year, folks would then purchase suburbans, paint out the rear windows and toss away the rear seats. My Great uncle Bill was a boiler repairman in the 50's and I have a picture of his suburban setup just like I explained. Too bad he wasn't here to see mine.
