I have ran into the dilema, i am almost completely broke down the 54 gmc. Motor and tranny are out. Rear end is out. Any body have any suggestions on putting the orginal 4 speed manual back in along with orignal rear end. Or go to an automatic and change rear end also? Was going to do a full orginal resto, but have decide to do some minor upgrades with the suspension and drive train. I am lost here, any help would be great. Also this will be a daily driver for my son. Thanks
