yes I don't suppose it would be all that hard to do, usually the problem I have heard of is the GMC is longer and you have that to deal with when switching from a chevy to a GMC. But I wouldn't switch to chevy either. As a matter of fact I'd like to put a 302 in my truck. As far as the price to rebuild, $3000 is quite reasonable. That is about what you will pay for any of these engines, 235's included. Not including the cost to convert, you would be much better off sticking with a GMC product, at least it just bolts in.
