I wouldn't try to fix it, a good used original shouldn't be too expensive. Most of the vendors carry used parts, so you might want to try them - especially Jim Carter's, they have lots of used stuff. You might also try putting an ad in the swap meet on here, I'm sure there are plenty of people on here with good spare switches to sell.
On a side note, I wouldn't try to fix broken parts, but I do like to take them apart, polish the contacts, and add some grease designed to protect electrical connections. There are a few on my shelf that still need this treatement.
