Just a question guys,Is the rubber the type with the lock strip?
If so,this is not intended for a 'string in' installation.
This can lead to potentially tearing the rubber and/or cracking the glass if it's laminated.
Like 64fleetside says, the correct way to install this type is to fit the rubber to the body and then install the glass into the rubber.

I know this was on an AD but the principal is exactly the same.
Rear window install.

I hope this clears up any confusion.....
