You should be able to insure it with one of the classic car insurance agencies. They do have a few restrictions though. You have to keep the truck garaged and can't be your primary vehicle. I insured mine (42 1&1/2 ton) with normal street tags with Condon Skelly (hope I'm not breaking any rules posting the name) for less than 100 per year. The commercial plates may be an issue with them, just read that part.
