It's a 1942 3/4 Ton chevy (BL) pickup. The engine is 235 from 1960.
I also have a 1941 1 Ton chevy (YR) pickup and it has the same master cylinder; first 7 digits of casting number are the same.
The cylinder from the 42 does not have hole/threads for accepting the brake light switch.
