Trying to fix the front one on my 54. Original is 2 inch like a big silver dollar. Nobody has them. Bought a 2 inch cup style with sides maybe 1/3 inch high. Installed it with convex side toward radiator and with JB, it leaked.
Took it out, turned it over and installed it with red rtv. It fit tighter.
Still leaks a wee bit. Has anybody put one of those in the "inner" hole instead of on that little ledge and what size? Autozone lists one at 1.6inches, where does it go? Jim
