For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | Anyone who can point me to where to buy a new one ? It has the 2 ports, one for bypass, so it's not the same as old 235 or 216 pumps. Do you mean 2 ports total or two pairs of ports (4 hose fittings)? My 1959 & 1960 261s had water pumps with two pairs of ports. I have never been able to find that at a parts supplier. I do not know if the 261 water pumps that are now sold are just 235 pumps. I think they must be different, because the radiator hose fitting are different diameters. Here is a 2 by-pass (4 hose ports) 261 water pump at Rockauto.com (wait a while for the pop-up page to load). | | |
