welcome to the garage Wayne - those numbers don't compute, neither appears factory, likely a CA DMV thing that may have happened decades ago when the engine was changed as the engine number would originally have been used for the title VIN .... a picture of the engine would get an ID from some of the gurus here, it would originally have been a 216, but may have been swapped for a 235, neither of which had oil filters
