It is silver-anodized aluminum, so you must remove the anodizing, in order to polish it. We use Easy-Off oven cleaner, followed by the buffing process. If the scratches are into the parent-material, you will need to use progressively finer grits of sandpaper, starting with 1200 up to 2000, followed by the buffing process.
