| | | | Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 37 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 37 | My original radiator in the '55 second GMC with a 270 was ruined. It was a Harrison built in Nov. '55. I was given a 48 GMC 300 with a 270 and the radiator is fine. The 48 bolted right in and the two main differences are that the bottom hose "collar" is a sweeping 90 rather than straight, and the core is 1/2" taller. The overall dimensions of both are identical. Is there a problem running the '48 in the '55?
