For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 64 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 64 | I just got my horn on my 41 gmc working in less then one half hour. This was done by following Kip Bonds instructions which have been previously posted on this site, instructions{ which were right on} I installed a new bearing, ect, and used the original horn button . Everything went great but I did deviate {sp} a little bit by raising the steering shaft column all the way up prior to starting. This allowed me to get the horn button on without a big fight and then I lowered the column to get the proper play in the horn button. I was not looking forward to this project but it really turn ed into a slam dunk. thanks Kip, The horn worked on the first press. | | | |
