Very nice..I'm planning to put a 55-57 3 speed with OD in the 49 3600 with 4:10 rear..I managed to find a guy with a Hurst GM 55-57OD mounting kit NOS and a 18" shifter - the linkage is pre-bent on the kit and the brackets are designed to clear the solenoid.
I gotta fix the OD, a few parts are busted on it. A spare parts tranny would probably be best. And I need a kickdown switch. Worth the trouble tho I think - these trannys are pretty neat.
