Hy guys, the reverse polarity switch was a device the engineers came up with that was mounted on the starter, everytime you started the truck it reversed the polarity of the electricity flowing through the points. The theory was that this would cut down on metal transfer between the fixed and movable points, better condensor technology made these parts unnecessary, and they were discontinued after a couple of years. So don't bother putting one on in the first place, hope that helps.
