1957 , removed most of the dull original finish used to reduce sun glare, primered, painted, both with rattle can and get a course finish in areas like sandpaper. Done a few times and can't seem to get a smooth finish. I am using a metallic color. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks to all for your input.
