I used an optical comparator on my guage thread, it definitely pitched at 27 TPI. 1/16 NPS is near 5/16" OD and a 5/16 UNF 24 TPI nut probably wouldn't bind over such a short distance of thread whichever is actually on the oil gauge. | | |
