| | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,513 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,513 | The whole point of a split manifold is to keep the heat riser intact to maintain cold start driveability. $40.00 for an elbow with no studs or bevel seems a bit steep to me as a 2" gasfitters elbow will work better and set you back about $3.00. Pre and post heat are the key to success when welding cast iron and I compiled what I did here.
