Plenty of guys have gone with Rustoleum and plenty more Sherwin Williams (auto not home) PPG or Marin Senior (NAPA). Cheap to High end and back again.
I use SPI epoxy and am planning on their Red base coat and if they ever get it into production (just kidding I know its on the way) the single stage Black.
From my surfing web forums the Restoration and Kirker are mid-range but your surf board may ride differently...
FWIW I've been surfing now for over a year looking for the answer to my ultimate question of Paint Primer and the meaning of Life. In this case 42 did not compute but usually that's the one I go with. Left you wondering still?
