Automarc is right, Wrenchbender is right, but his wondering has wandered wrong.
I believe the PCV requirements went into effect in 1963 and were retro to 1952. I worked in gas station that was also a smog station in 64. I installed 3-4 PCV systems on 235s. There were several approved kits available as my not so good memory recalls. One kit eliminated the road draft tube or blocked it off. The a hole was cut in the valve cover for the PCV and a hose run to the air cleaner. Another installed the the PCV were the road draft tube was and ran a hose over the valve cover to the air cleaner or manifold. I didn't like that one, who wants to have to remove and extra hose to adjust the valves. There may have been another one with a spacer for under the carb. The spacer was common for F*rds.
Another thought is on my 63 truck with a 292, I have power brakes. The power brake hose to the manifold has a 'T' in for the PCV. The 'T' is marked specifically for the PCV and brake booster. As I understand it there is some kind of reduction to the PCV.
