The Ford Powerstroke is a 10K option. Tack that on to a $40,000 truck and, well, it's expensive! I looked at a diesel VW a few years ago, they were 4-5000 more than their gas counterpart. It would take 10-15 years to break even. I guess you would have to look at it like you're being eco friendly.
