My truck has some sort of attachment on the outside of the bed in the first panel left side. It has a small little bracket on the top but it's hard to see how it held anything. Does anyone know what it was used for?

What's This? Some other clues to the possible use of the truck. There were 2 holes about 1/2" dia. & about 4" apart in the back of the cab on the curved part between the left door and the back glass. There are also 2 holes (filled with screws now) in the dash. Does this suggest a radio antenna in the back with a dash mounted mike?
I'm guessing the holes in the header panel was for a sun visor but I'd like to know if someone has seen these in another truck also.
