Hey all. I've just bought my new "old" truck, and I am having a tough time deciphering these numbers for my 1950 Chevy pickup. I know it was made in Canada, so I've had difficulty finding all the info, almost all ID sites, pages, documents are for American made. I did find one page of info, but I'm not too sure how to read it all. I only know that the truck was built in 1950. Any help would be appreciated, as I'm trying to budget for repairs, and there's a big difference in 3/4 ton and 1 ton costs.
(although I'm fairly certain it's a 1-ton)
I'd also really like to know what the original paint/trim color was. I am currently overseas and have yet to see this truck in person, but I've tons of pictures, and will be starting on this project in a few months. Thanks in advance for any help. I'm sure you'll be seeing me around as I muddle my way through my very first project.
