This is my first resto job. I got a '58 Apache 32 for $150 bucks that is fairly solid. I have the truck down to the frame, and that is where I will continue this summer. I have experience with body work, but my mechanical knowledge is minimal.
I want to put a 350 chevy in this truck, and thinking about a 4 speed with a 3.73 rear end.
Any tips/suggestions on boxing in the frame, or parts of the frame (near the rear end, tranny supports, etc>) would be appreciated. Also, comments on the rear end selection and/or the tranny are appreciated. I want to have fun with this truck, mostly a weekend driver, with a few ponies behind it!
