Hy Gregger, I don't know where to start exactly, I'll answer your questions about the wheels though. Kelsey is the name of a wheel manufacturer, and they made the ten hole hub pilot wheels that Chevrolet trucks up to two ton both north and south of the border used (only five studs were used on the front axle). In the States only up to a two ton Chevrolet could be purchased, you could order things like a Thornton Dual Drive setup to convert the truck to a tandem, and thus increase its G.V.W., but these were rare. In Canada we could order up to a Three Ton Chevrolet Maple Leaf truck. The two and a half ton Chevrolet Maple Leaf was Chevrolet powered, the Three Ton Chevrolet Maple Leaf was powered by a G.M.C. full precision bearinged engine. The Chevrolet Maple Leaf trucks were equipped with Motor Wheels, Motor was a wheel manufacturer used by many makes G.M.C. among them. These wheels were also Hub pilot type, their distinquishing feature was a large pivoting washer on the wheel nuts, this washer provided a larger clamping area than the standard wheel nut, hope that helps.
