My post above was based on the information I posted above in the Specifications Manual. When I got home, I checked the Truck Data Books.
The 3805 Panel had an option RPO267, Springs, Rear, that added 3400 to the GVW rating. It was a set of auxiliary springs and was probably ordered in combination with RPO 272 the 7.50-17 8 ply tires (4 tires) that added 2100 lbs in payload capacity. 10 ply 7.50-17 tires were also available (allowing even a higher payload with those springs).
Therefore, the most conservative addition of capacities (tires/springs) gives a GVW of at least 9100 lbs.
What rear spring-sets and size tires do you have on your trucks?
