Ive never replaced them. If you tighten the bolts down good they stay. If you want an original look then you would want to find some new ones. I also don,t use the gaskets that come with the sets. They will get you in trouble. That sounds like a good deal on those manifolds. The original ones are very rare. You wouldn,t need them on a 283 unless it is hopped up pretty good.
