I’ve had a Tattersfield intake with a pair of Rochester’s rat holed for years that I had big plans to install on my 235. Got around to taking a good look at it yesterday and found what I think might be a show stopper. The ports on the Tattersfield are about 1/16” smaller than the intake ports on my motor. The motor is from a 54 ½ ton. I’d guess this duel carb intake is for a 216 or an early 235. My question is am I hosed or can I have a machine shop mill the Tattersfield intake port to fit the head. It looks like there is plenty of thickness on the manifold to do so. Or make a set of step down intake sealing rings. I love the look of the Tattersfield old school intake and would sure like to be able to make it work. Thanks’ for any help.
