That is narrower than recommended for the narrowest 16" LT radials I could find. The older 16" wheels had a 4" rim section/width. Cooper SRM II Radial LT™ LT215/85R16 - 5.5"-7" rim width 7.50R16LT - 5.5"-7" rim width Tim 1954Advance-Design.com 1954 3106 Carryall Suburban 1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.
