While my truck lays dormant under a few feet of snow, I've decided to tackle some of the jobs I could handle in my basement...
My goal is to have a running, painted 235 by the end of this summer.
I've been trying very hard to keep all the Canadian pieces of this truck in tact. And even though I have a second fully functional and clean starter, I really want to get the one that I pull off my 216 looking better.
I almost completely pulled it apart tonight. My plan was to soak the body in parts cleaner, brush it clean, repaint.
However - I'm worried that the parts cleaner will kill the
ID Tag Anyone have advice on how I can remove this such that it can be reattached?
Also the
magnets seem to be wrapped in some sort of fabric - not sure if I should try to remove them or not. I couldn't move the big
screws holding them in.
Should I just avoid soaking the body? Someones had to have done this before - Denny?
