Your right! There are times when a wire has worn off the insulation in a small area due to vibration. So why go through all the trouble to replace the wire? This Liquid Tape is even better than shrink wrap tubing. You don't have to cut the wire to slip on the shrink wrap and resolder the wire. I know this sounds like a quick fix, however, not all of us want to turn a simple fix into a long drawn out repair. Its just a wire carrying low voltage to make something work. Its pretty neat stuff in my mind.
