Sounds like a fix i would try just haha but as a temporary fix only and i dont take my truck out too often or far enough where i couldnt tow it back easily.If it was a daily driver i would try to get someone to weld it or get a new one.As 48bigtruck says its an important part of the engine.I guess trying it couldn't hurt but id let it run in the drive way for a while and put it under load before taking it around the block.But this is coming from someone who's building a truck on a college kids budget and not afraid to try to get as much out of a part as i can.So take i would take my advise with a grain of salt
