The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area The Electrical Bay generator spinning

Saw something I had never seen before today. I tried to start my 52 and no luck, think I need gas. But to the thing I saw, don't know what possesed me but I looked under the hood to see if accelerator pump was working, I grabbed hold of the fan and tried to turn it. When I took the pressure off of the generator it srarted spinning to beat the band. What happened was I didn't turn the key off but took the key out, my ignition is that way. As soon as key was off no gen spin. Is this normal???
