hey guys, just wondering where you guys placed your engine and trans. i am not to worried about the firewall and floorpan i can work around those in time. right now i am just worried about the best position and height for my 350/700r4 combo. the pros say the lower and further back the better for center of gravity. but i still want room for steering and exhaust so i am thinking a little higher. right now i have the engine/trans combo sitting in the frame. its set back to the recomended 18 1/8 inches from the center rivet in the front crossmember to the center of the motor mount hole. with the pans about level with the bottom of frame. this is about 13 1/2 inches from the front cab mount hole to the back of the head. i have weld in motor mounts and a tube crossmember for the trans. i am running a mustang ii for front suspension. anyhow i think it looks pretty good but would take any advise i could get before making it permanent. picture 1 picture 2 picture 3 picture 4 http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg496/michael58237/001.jpg
