Hey all, so I got a nice package of misc replacement parts from Jim Carter the other day. One of the items was a new parking break floor bracket spring.

Well my old one just popped right out and I discovered a little metal washer behind the spring and a piece of gasket that sits in a little slot on the engine side of the firewall ( slot is similiar to the gasket slots for the pedals inside the cab).

Made a new gasket out of some material at hand and am planning on reusing the original washer but cannot seem for the life of me to be able to get the new spring to sit back in its hole.

My questions then:
1. How does this spring install?
2. Does it just kind of sit with one edge in the hole and rely on the pedal lever to keep it in place?
3. Am I missing something?

If you click the link in my signature it should take you to my truck photo site and the pics of the spring should be first thing.

Thanks in advance...
