Thanks, Harold. That 5/8" groove pump will work for several years (Jim Carter says 1941-52).
I do not know if 1953 used the 5/8" or the 3/8" pulley-groove. NAPA says 5/8" for 1953.
NAPA also has the 54/55 3/8" groove water pump for a little higher price, ~$69.00 plus core.
