I don't know anything about the 55.2 to 59 trucks.The bracket for clutch return spring on an AD truck is on the frame rail close to under the steering box.I think on my models it keeps the spring clear of the exhaust.

I tried to replicate what was in the build manual. I don't have an exhaust installed yet, I hope it won't it won't be in the way of the exhaust.
