Might be better to pull the axle and take it to your local automotive machine shop. I had my '56 GMC 1-ton (same as 3/4) axle done just a few weeks ago.

I couldn't move the kingpins at all with my 10-ton press so I took the axle with spindles attached and a new set of kingpins and and had the axle plus fitted spindles back just a few days later for around $60.00. The machinist said his press was rated at 50-tons.
