dublenaught - I don't like to brag about it but I did the exact same thing to my 54 one time when I changed the distributor. I am happy, and very lucky, to say that I have not had any serious problems - that was 5 years ago. As stated above - if it isn't banging and clanging you probably got away with it - for now anyway!!!!!!!!!
